I was walking home just now
and i started thinking about back in november 2005,
when we were at stanford university; california,
for the stanford model united nations.

then i remembered one of the speakers giving a quotation from
celine dion's power of the dream.
"As the world gives us its best,
to stand apart from the rest."

I can still remember that the speaker said that to us on the first day,
in his opening address. But at the first day,
everybody was bored and restless and a bit awkward,
i mean like imagine 5 people each from 42 countries
come together and meet for the first time,
so awkward!

I also remembered that night itself,
mark and i couldn't sleep and we went to the park to sit by the pond,
yeah jet lag -.-
oka then i rememebered mark telling me that the feller's words struck him big time.
and then i told him, good for you.

but on the last day,
everybody linked arms and the closing song was,
celine dion's power of the dream.

and i will never forget, the 210 of us, dressed in our respective school and country blazers,
singing the song in unision.

okay i dont know why i suddenly thought of it,
maybe when you have long distances to walk,
and under the influence of the hot scotching sun,
it makes me think back of past events!

so anyway, i woke up at 12 today.

saw xinyi's message at 813 am, telling me shes already in school.
so i called her and she was rushing work so i went online to send samantha some stuff
and then then then after her school, she came down to hougang
then papa asked if she wanted lunch to, but she told me she had lunch at home,
so off i went to meet her, carrying my lunch.

freaking hot,
but heck la, bough some nice and some disgusting herbal tea
then we bussed home.

took a photo before sending her up.

can't see her for the first 2 days :(
boohoo. and the 3rd day cause shes too shy and doesn't wanna come my house.
grrr.

but still love her a lot.

okay i need to bathe then off to reunion dinner at coca steamboat at takashimaya.
first time in 17 years that reunion dinner is outside -.-

happy cny eve people.
