I always wanted to go overseas to study.
Everybody talked about in back in secondary school,
during breaks, or just random chit-chats.

We would sit together in our groups
and talk about where we would be going:
Australia. Canada. US. England.

& we were all get excited and couldn't wait to leave singapore,
couldn't wait till the day we went to the airport,
couldn't wait till the day we stood at the gate and waved goodbye as we walked in,
couldn't wait till the day we could feel the thrust of the plane's engines.

We just couldn't wait.

Mabel left to Washington.
Natalie left to Switzerland.
Germaine left to England.
Clarissa left to England.
Charmaine left to England.

A lot of people have left.
A lot.

To think of it,
now i wonder:
What was so great when i asked mom if i could go overseas.
What was going through my mind.

Oh wells,
until now,
i still don't have answers.
I still don't understand why going overseas to study was
such a big hooha.

Cause to me: its nothing.
Its nothing.

I found friends.
I found very good friends.
I found someone i love.

Rah.
Just came back from school/bowling with the folks.
Fun.
