Forgiveness;

I was just reading through my history stuff
& i realised that Hitler was indeed,
an amazing person.

He had the charisma and the intellect
that allowed him to capture the hearts of many.
That lead to the rise of his Nazism.

He spoke this & the judges were impressed by him.

"We wanted to create in Germany the conditions which
will make it possible for the iron grip of our enemies
to be removed from us. We wanted to... take up the
fight... for the duty of bearing arms... And now i ask
you: Is that high treason?"

Amazing.

But he was a person without a soul;
without a conscience.


& then i started reading Philip Yancey's
What's so amazing about Grace?

then i saw something that struck me.
"Forgiveness offers a way out.
It does not settle all questions of blame & fairness- often it
pointedly evades those questions- but it does
allow a relationship to start over, to begin anew."

"The principle applies even when one party is wholly innocent
and the other wholly to blame,
for the innocent party will bear the wound
until he or she can find a way to release it-
& forgiveness is the only way."


It speaks the whole uncensored truth.
